Eating nutritious meals is an important part of staying healthy. Grocery shopping and meal preparation during these challenging times can be an obstacle to good nutrition for many seniors. The BA Seniors nutrition program, through the Tulsa & Creek Counties Senior Nutrition Program, can help.

Join Our Nutrition Program

We are celebrating! After nearly two years to the day of our last in person lunch, the BA Senior Center will resume daily lunch service.

The void at the Center without the nutrition program these last months has been significant. "Being the host of the meal program has always brought about a sense of hospitality and warmth within the Center," noted President and CEO Sean Simpson. "Having the nutrition program return offers so much more than a meal. Sitting down and eating with other folks brings about a sense of family and well-being for everyone who participates."

We contract with Tulsa & Creek County Senior Nutrition to provide meals. They’ve hired a site manager, and we have volunteers ready to assist. We are excited to hear that there’s a new chef preparing favorites like: fourway chili, barbecued chicken, home-style hot chicken and noodles, cheeseburgers, goulash and so many more lip-smacking options. We have capacity for 40 people, and, if there is more interest, we will have two lunch services back-to-back to be able to accommodate everyone. If you are interested in eating lunch at the Center, you need to let us know in advance by calling our nutrition program at 918-259-8377, ext. 108.

If you are 60 or older and want to take advantage of the program, call 918-835-4160 for more information. Reservations are required and must be made by 11 a.m. the day before. The nutrition program application form is available to download below.

If you haven’t already completed a nutrition form, bring the completed form with you on the day of pickup. The suggested donation is $2 per meal.

When we reopen: Lunch is served in the Senior Center cafeteria each weekday at 11:30 a.m. The suggested donation is $2 per day. Reservations must be made the day before by calling the senior center at 918-259-8377 before 11:00 a.m.
