About our organization

Our Mission: Broken Arrow Seniors provides a welcoming environment that encourages enrichment, social engagement, and an active lifestyle for the 55 and over community.

The Broken Arrow Senior Activity Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and Tulsa Area United Way Partner Agency whose mission is to provide a safe place with programs and activities for people 55 and over to stay physically active and socially engaged. Broken Arrow Seniors carries out the unique role of providing activities for those seeking to become – or remain - physically active, in a safe and friendly environment.

Quality of life is an important investment for any community. One of Broken Arrow Seniors’ primary goals is improving the quality of life of seniors in the Broken Arrow community. 25% of the population in Broken Arrow is 55 years of age and older and is quite diverse in terms of age, income, health, and mobility. Broken Arrow Seniors is the only organization that exclusively serves active and independent seniors, ages 55 and older. Currently, we serve over 3,000 members.

With more than 110 activities each week, there is definitely something for everyone! Fitness activities include yoga, Tai Chi, tap dancing, clogging, cardio-drumming, limited exercise, Zumba, line dancing, and so much more. Seniors with limited mobility take advantage of chair exercises, spend time enjoying puzzles, card games and weekly movies.  Members looking for new learning opportunities are involved with Bible study, photography, abstract painting, computer class and creative writing. Domino and pool tournaments, poker, bunco, crafting, creative card making, and guitar lessons offer further opportunities to remain active and engaged.  A nutritious lunch is provided, daily, through the support of the Tulsa/Creek County Nutrition Program. In addition, complimentary transportation is available, within a limited area, to and from the center.
